Still playing with Photoshop…
This is picture from official twitter of the Ruroken movie. Is this new posters which we were promised to get soon?

Official twitter account of the Ruroken movie announced today that Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK wrote the theme song called The Beginning for the movie. The song was written especially for the movie after details of the story were revealed to the band.
Sato Takeru who plays Kenshin in the movie is a good friend of the band’s members and their frienship helped to create further depth for the character with this song. Takeru also confessed that they were listening to the ONE OK ROCK’s music during shooting.
Press-release (Japanese) with further information and comments of the movie director and the band’s leader: http://wwws.warnerbros.co.jp/rurouni-kenshin/news/
UPD: I’ve changed the head-image according to requests.
I doubt this image from anime TV-series was used as reference for the photo with Takeru but it has some resembalance, doesn’t it?
This is book about Ruroken movie and it’s for the press-people only! 30 pages worth of reading but if you are not from the media you will never get to read it. That’s so unfair! TT
Just wanted to collect all the different Kaoru’s costumes in one picture.
It must be some old promos but I’ve never seen them so decided to share.

She is so beautiful! :)
What a nice picture. I have a little problem with Movie!Kaoru because I think she should be more fragile and teenage-looking but on this picture actress looks really fine.

It’s not a news for a long time already that Go Ayano played some villian in the upcoming Ruroken movie. Though it isn’t stated officially anywhere it’s known that he will play Gein, the character from the second part of the manga who was helping Yukishiro Enishi in his quest for revenge.

During his time in the manga Gein never revealed his face so when I saw Ayano in the trailers I wasn’t so sure that he really played Gein.

The thing is first Ruroken movie shouldn’t have Gein at all - it should have Aoshi and seeing Ayano’s character using Aoshi’s short blade wasn’t helping much.
But then around 2006 Watsuki drawn some re-designs for the characters for Kanzenban edition of Rurouni Kenshin manga. That’s design for Gein (and his face is revealed!)

Judging by supposedly handsome face and elements of clothes (belts and chain mails) this mysterious blonde might be Gein-inspired character after all. While it’s still unclear why cool and popular Aoshi was removed from the plot and Gein took his place and weapon it seems to be a reliable fact.
It seems to be Kenshin’s favourite attack in the movie judging by the trailers.
Dragon Hummer Strike:

With the movie Rurouni Kenshin scheduled to be realeased on August 25 some people from Japanese media are shown the preview screening of it. Happy people! Well, the good thing is they are not too shy to share their impressions on twitter! I find this twitter-review particulary helpful:
『るろうに剣心』は邦画の枠を超え、世界に打って出るべき作品だ。熱量と速度に瞠目し、リピーター続出間違いなし。佐藤健の身体能力は最大限に生かされ、青木崇高が吠え、綾野剛は忍び寄り、吉川晃司が狂う。2時間14分を一気に駆け抜ける超高速アクション時代劇の傑作だ!
(by https://twitter.com/#!/Tshmz)
It mentions that the movie has a very good action scenes, Takeru’s (Kenshin) physical ability is utilized to maximum, Aoki (Sano) is sublime and roaring, Ayano (mysterious blondie guy) is a creep and Kikkawa (Jin-e) is crazy. And it reveals the most interesting detail: “A masterpiece of ultra-high-speed action drama runs through 2 hours 14 minutes!”
134 minutes long! How about that, eh?

wait.
i know i said i was going to bed.
but…i just saw that go ayano is going to be in rurouni kenshin?
is this some kind of cruel joke? or is this really. for reals. an actual thing?
Could you tell is it him?

He’s a bit of a mystery for me, plain Kenshin fan with no good knowledge of Japanese actors.
