Elementary: Tumblr Response
Tumblr has gone crazy! Well, it has a habit of doing that but I can’t remember seeing so much hate around. Even director of Sherlock, Paul McGuigan made a comment about that in his twitter. First of all, creators of Elementary had a difficult task of making their show clearly different from Sherlock. Changing gender of Dr.Watson, I think, was quite clever of them. And casting of Lucy Liu...

Things To Get Excited About This Year
I’ve seen similar post out there but wasn’t agreed to several parts so I’ve decided to make one myself.
I was going to start with the current problems of my life but then I thought that every breathing moment of my existence is concerned with them and this year is no different to every other year in that aspect.
So let’s see what kind of exciting things that have a little...

Geeky Friday
Millenium series, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, complete Sherlock Holmes collection (even extra-canon) and A Study in Emerald by Neil Gaiman at last made their way on my e-book and I was expecting quiet evening with detectives of all sorts when photos from the set of Star Trek 2 exploded the internet. I can’t find the words for my excitement! It’s motherfu*ing STAR TREK, babe!

A Study in Emerald: Why research before reading...
A Study in Emerald
I knew for some time that there is some short story written by wonderful Neil Gaiman about Sherlock Holmes. I heard that it was first published in some anthology which has something to do with Sherlock Holmes and with something else. Well, mind can play funny trick with you. Today I stumbled upon this story.
My first thought was “Dr.Watson was injured by what? By...

The Maltese Falcon - Debut of Noir
The Maltese Falcon is famous movie that considered to be first ever noir film. It’s premiered on October 3, 1941. Not only it’s starring Humphrey Bogart, it is based on the novel written by Dashiell Hammett which makes this film perfect example of genre noir.
Like the most people I don’t know much about noir. Mysterious man wearing fedora and trench is familiar image to me...

Heartbroken?
According to this article Steven Moffat’s tweet
was about Doctor Who. Since I grew unattached to Doctor Who generally and Ponds particulary lately I doubt that I’m going to cry but who knows? Nevertheless, it must be quite interesting to watch previous companions leave in the middle of a series - it hasn’t been done before. On the other hand, if rumors are true than Ponds will...

Sherlock: That Awkward Moment (Series 1)
Sherlock being as beautiful series as it is has a lot of moments that make me suddenly want to find myself somewhere else or just make me feel unease. I listed such moments from Unaired Pilot here and now it’s time to look at the first series of Sherlock.
Of course Sherlock’s winking at Jonh didn’t improve since Pilot. So here we are with the second awkward moment - Jonh finds...

Sherlock: That Awkward Moment (Pilot)
You know the feeling when you suddenly walk out of the room while watching something? Or close your eyes really tight and cover your ears? And desperately try to avoid the eyes of another people in the room? Well, it happens with me sometimes and while Sherlock doesn’t give too many cause for this it still has a lot of moments that make me feel a little bit awkward.
List of...

Sherlock's Deceptions: two times I fell for it and...
There are two big plot deceptions in Sherlock. First one happened in the end of the first series when Sherlock came to the pool at midnight to meet with mysterious criminal mastermind Moriarty. And the person who greeted him here turned out to be Jonh Watson!
Sherlock quite naturally assumed that his friend was in fact his great nemesis. As some of the viewers did. But Jonh’s big jacket...

Sherlock Japanese Dub
This Japanese dub of Sherlock is hilarious! I mean, I love the sound of Japanese language and add to that the fact that Jonh is speaking with the voice of Sephiroth (Final Fantasy), Naraku (Inuyasha), Alex Row (Last Exile), Enel (One Piece). I mean, why?! Either way, it’s nice to hear.
motleyjack asked: what's that anagram site you found for sherlockologycom?

Rurouni Kenshin: Should Jinchuu Arc Be Animated?
“Yes, please!” would say anyone who read manga Rurouni Kenshin till its end. The famous second part of the manga dealing with past of the main hero - Himura Kenshin - was never properly animated. Part of it were made into excellent OVA Tsuioku Hen and told us the story of fearsome and ruthless manslayer. The other bit of the Jinchuu arc was used in the second OVA Seisou Hen. Or misused...

for those of you who watch Sherlock;
missingtokyo:
would you recommend watching the unaired pilot?
Of course! The pilot is different to the series - it’s a little bit warmer and has some ridiculous stuff but it’s decent tv all the same. I’d recommend though that you watch it after the first episode of the series (Study in Pink) just to be able to see the big improvement in visual style and difference in tone....

I held my breath for what seemed like months.
– Jonh Watson describing in his blog how it felt to wait the conclusion of the cliffhanger of the series 1 of “Sherlock”. Well, it totally seemed like months for viewers)))) Nice joke.

After two series, we can see a pattern in the selection of the works to be remestered into three episodes.
Episode 1-mind-blowing
Episode 2-mind puzzle
Episode 3-mindfuck
Mind blowing: A study in pink and A scandal in Belgravia, taken after the relatively similar named works of ACD.
So I finished my report! It’s long and it’s here

Sherlock Series 3 and Sherlock Holmes Canon
Two series of Sherlock used a lot of elements from the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle (ACD). But what elements the next series will use? And what stories will be chosen as main inspiration for three episodes?
We have small clue - the creators of the show want to use bits of canon that weren’t adapted before as often as others. And what bits could that be? First of all, let’s look at...

Sherlock Series 3 Begins
I’ve just reread Steven Moffat’s twitter concerning the second series of Sherlock and amazing picture sprung to my mind: how the third series will begin. Begin not with it broadcast but earlier with first filming reports from fans who will inevitably be on locations. How first confirmation for scriptwriters will come and even episodes name will be revealed. How interviews with the...
